Quality Management and Lead Auditor Support

The Tactical Information Exchange Integration Office (TIEIO) of the Commonwealth is seeking a Lead Auditor to provide specialist quality management expertise to the Chief Engineer TIEIO to manage and maintain ISO 9001:2008 and Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) certification.  These activities include;

a.       Planning and managing these activities;

b.      Manage the TIEIO Business Management System (BMS);

c.       Perform assurance activities;

d.      Support Certification activities;

e.       Knowledge management and knowledge transfer; and

f.        Alignment of TIEIO BMS to QMS framework.

The Candidate must demonstrate compliance with the following criteria:

a.      High-level competency in quality management principles, standards and management frameworks;

b.      Experience and evidence of qualifications as a lead auditor for quality management systems;

c.      Ability to work independently under broad direction and actively manage and prioritise tasks;

d.      Ability to perform effectively as member of a team; and

e.      Excellent written and verbal communications skills

It is desirable that the Candidate is also able to demonstrate:

a.      Sound understanding of Technical Regulatory Systems, especially the Australian Navy Technical Regulatory System;

b.      Experience working within an accredited Engineering Management System; and

c.      Experience working with SharePoint 2010.

The contract period is from June 2014 to May 2015.

Australian Citizenship is a must and a Negative Vetting Level 1 or higher is highly desirable
