Quality Inspector Supervisor Job

A QUALITY INSPECTOR SUPERVISOR is needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in LA PALMA, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Organize and prioritize work activities of inspectors, and provide technical support. Oversee inspection functions on the ship floor and oversee the quality and first article inspections.
- This job reports to the Quality Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Supervise all inspection functions on the shop floor
- Oversee quality record completion and first article inspection (FAI).
- Participate in the material review board (MRB).
- Manage employee schedules and develop staff by delivering training initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized inspection work area.
- Support and conduct lean improvement initiatives.
- Sign certifications.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- AA/AS degree is required.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in an aerospace quality environment.
- Minimum one (1) year experience supervising or managing employees.
- Strong troubleshooting and strong communication skills.
- Knowledgeable of Manufacturing and Quality processes.
- Sound knowledge of Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and surface plates for dimensional inspection of machine parts and material.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical literature.
- This is a twelve (12) month contract (possibly to go direct), paying between $15 - $23 per hour.

- Proficient with Windows Operating System® and Office XP®
- Knowledgeable of Lean Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing.
