Quality Engineer (EPC) - Based in Zeebrugge, Belgium

Acorn Global Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading global provider of engineering solutions. The company serve a wide variety of industry sectors worldwide including power generation, renewables, ports, civil engineering, oil & gas etc (both onshore and offshore). Their main customer base include global engineering procurement(partner 1) - Provision of Module and Break Bulk Storage Facilities, (our client) - Load-out/Load-in by SPMT's and (partner 3) - Provision of Sea-fastening cutting/installation services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
* Supports the Project Manager in the preparation of Project Managements procedures
* Monitors the Project Document Management and Document Control activities.
* Perform Quality Induction activities within the various areas of the Project.
* Plans and leads internal and external Project Auditing activities.
* Reports to the relevant Operating Company Quality Manager all the data required by the Corporate/Company QMS.
* Assesses the Quality suitability of vendors and sub-contractors for individual projects.
* Coordinates and supervises all Quality Control activities
* Plans and implements Project Quality management activities within the Project and coordinates the implementation of Project Quality Control activities.
* Supports all Project Risk assessments (HAZOPs/HAZIDs)
* Provides direct coaching and mentoring to improve quality performance
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in Engineering or related discipline
Experience
* 5+ years related experience or an Associate Degree with 7+ years' experience; or an equivalent combination of education & experience
* Project execution, Construction, installation experience (preferred)
* Must have knowledge gained from within a quality, safety, engineering and oil and gas environment.
* Strong English, French and (or) Dutch language skills
* Required Self-starter, strong self-management skills and enthusiastic about the business
