QUALITY ENGINEER

On behalf of our client, a leading global company within finance, we are looking for a Quality Engineer. For this long-term contract position based in Zürich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. Your main responsibilities will be:

- Assure that the final product meets the promises made to our business and supports end user satisfaction at the appointed time in the project
- Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities with a scalable end-to-end system view
- Identify and record bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts
- Validate System Performance

The skills and experience needed for this position are:

- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Proven working experience in software development at a bank
- Proven working experience in software quality assurance for a Swiss bank
- Solid knowledge of SQL and Java Scripting
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases
- Hands-on experience with both White Box and Black Box testing
- Knowledge of Software QA/Project methods, tools, and processes
