Contract: 12 months

Rate: up to £30.00 per hour

The Company:

An opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in the manufacture of yellow goods as a Quality Engineer. The company prides itself on delivering research and development, design and manufacturing excellence through innovative technology, in order to serve their impressive and expanding global client base.

The Role:

As Quality Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the company's quality management system on site. The role will be split into two key areas, improving supplier performance and supporting NPI programmes ready for product launches at the end of the year.

A key aspect of your role as Quality Engineer will be to develop supplier's capabilities and as part of the on-going quality improvements assist suppliers in identifying and resolving any issue as required.

The Quality Engineer will also provide full APQP and PPAP support the NPI programmes, and will perform quality assurance activities to support the design review stages.

The Candidate:

An experienced Quality Engineer from an automotive background you will have an understanding of APQP and PPAP standards and will be able to develop supplier's capabilities with regards to them. Experience of working on supporting NPI programmes within an automotive, yellow goods or manufacturing background would be preferred, but candidates with extensive quality experience in other areas will also be strongly considered. With good communication skills, you will have experience of dealing with customers, suppliers and internal staff regarding quality issues.
