Job description: Quality Engineer
Contract
West Yorkshire
6 months with view to extension

£27-£34 per hour

Quality Engineer to be based inWest Yorkshire.

Quality Engineer required within the automotive industry.

You will be responsible for the Quality function and be apart of a Quality team.

Ideally you will be dealing with internal and external customers on occasion by identifying root cause and using corrective actions for improvement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assist with new product design and process development
- Driver of APQP process with suppliers during project phase
- Produce reports from statistical analysis of results from capabilities studies
- Liaise with Production, Engineering and Management to enable process development
- Presentation of dimensional results to customer during build status events
- Preparation of PPAP documentation
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques
- Use of 8D approach to deal with any concerns found
- Carry out internal audits to company/international standards
- Carry out monthly reports for the company scrap process
- Implement a 5s system across the company
- To aid the Quality Manager in attaining TS16949

Skills required for this role will include the following:
- Must be conversant with TS16949. ISO9001:2008
- Engineering background
- Must be conversant with CMM measurement techniques
