Quality Engineer

Our very high-visibility client needs a QA Engineer to perform QA work and also write automated test cases for one of their validation teams.

OVERVIEW

- Write and execute acceptance tests (QA) based on stories.
- Investigate automated testing tools and write requirements for implementation.
- Work will include functional and automated testing.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Years of experience and expertise level: 4-6 years' experience, Mid-level
- Experience/knowledge in software development to understand both technical and non-technical requirements
- Strong knowledge of Linux based systems and LAMP
- Knowledge of C/C++, Python, JavaScript, HTML and.NET
- Good knowledge of functional testing Linux/Windows, web and middle-tier applications
- Strong functional testing background (usability, security, performance)
- Ability to write test plans based on user stories and execute

NICE TO HAVE

- Familiarity with SCRUM and worked in a SCRUM team
- Experience working with smart phone based applications before
- Experience writing automated tests using one of the main stream testing tools like Selenium, QTP etc.
