Quality Controller Scientific Publications

Our customer, an international, leading pharmaceutical company, currently needs an experienced or highly motivated scientific professional for a Quality Controller role - long term contract. The position involves a high degree of independence; option to have a home office is definitely possible. Some travel is involved but not on a regular basis.

Your responsibility in this role is to ensure quality control of descriptors and summaries which result from various scientific publications (clinical or medical). Having been able to gather experience in the field of controlled vocabulary, ontology, indexing or library literature, you are able to quickly assess key-words messages from scientific publications. Coming from a scientific background (Bio/Pharmaceutical/Chemical), you are able to transform information into knowledge and are able to handle database content diligently.

To be successful you need to bring the following to the role:

- Scientific Degree in a life science field (Pharmacology, Biology, Chemistry, Medicine, etc.)
- Previous experience with (scientific) literature databases, Scientific Libraries,
- Strongly knowledgeable about indexing, controlled vocabularies, and authoring
- Experience in extracting metadata from scientific publications
- Preference to work in a highly structured and procedural work
- Critical mindset, inquisitive, attention to details is crucial
- Experience with Professional Informational Research
- Training capabilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent English, German is an asset
