Quality Control Technician

QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

LOCATION: BRISTOL

CONTRACT DURATION: 10 MONTHS

REMUNERATION: COMPETITIVE

WORKING HOURS: SHIFT

THE ROLE:

Quality Control Analyst will analyse all the purchased materials, Intermediates and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients manufactured on site, and assess their suitability for onward processing.

The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for:

- QC testing of Pharmaceutical products
- Receipt purchased raw materials, including nitrogen and water, into the Laboratories, and check all delivery paperwork prior to analysis.
- Receipt all material manufactured at site into the Laboratories, check the sampling information prior to analysis.
- Perform analysis on all purchased and manufactured materials that are receipted into the Laboratories.
- Record the analytical decision of batches on GLIMs and or ICON.
- Transporting reserve samples to the reserve sample store.
- Complete daily checks of the Fridges and Freezers to ensure they are in compliance.
- Complete daily checks of analytical balances.
- Carry out routine checks of the laboratories to ensure the appropriate standards of GMP and SHE is being maintained.
- Performing routine GMP audits/self-inspections, for example Log books and standardisation/calibration files.

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Degree in Chemistry or other related scientific disciplines
- Prior experience working in a GMP compliant Laboratory.
- Fully trained in all routine analytical procedures used within Quality Control, Avlon.
- Fully trained in the use of GLIMS/Empower/e-Lab/MSDM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
