Quality Control (QC) Scientist Job

QC SCIENTIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in South San Francisco, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The job responsibility within the Biological Technologies group in Analytical Development and Quality Control is to develop and troubleshoot biochemical/immunochemical and cell-based assays in support of clinical products.
- The candidate will be expected to generate stable cell lines and reporter gene cell lines.
- In addition, the candidate will perform some testing as needed in support of process development and characterization.
- Expectations will also include some routine lab maintenance, writing SOPs, protocols, reports, and investigating new technology.
- Additional responsibilities may include presentation of data at internal meetings and supporting collaborations with other groups.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- PhD in the Biological Sciences with an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of Molecular or Cellular biology along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Candidate must have extensive hands-on experience in the development and performance of biochemical/immunochemical and cell-based assays.
- The candidate must have strong cell and molecular biology skills.
- Experience in developing and characterizing stable cell lines, especially reporter gene cell lines, using standard and viral methods is strongly desired.
- The candidate must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- The candidate must also have the ability to work independently and in a team setting to handle multiple projects.
- The candidate must be comfortable working is a fast-paced environment.
