Quality Control (QC) Scientist Job

QC SCIENTIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Hamilton, MT.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Independently performs QC testing following written methodologies and reports results which are clear, defensible and right the first time.
- Reviews technical laboratory data for test methods.
- Provides technical review of documentation as assigned by supervisor.
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of the scientific principles and method validation for the assays which they perform.
- Troubleshoots equipment and assays and escalates issues as required.
- Initiates lab investigations and leads routine lab investigations.
- Significantly contributes to the resolution of complex lab investigations.
- Qualifies, operates and maintains laboratory equipment, including automated and computerized systems, and assures they remain in a functional, validated state.
- Provides strong support role for method transfer, process validation, method development and/or method validation.
- Mentors and trains less experienced staff
- Obtains cross-training in QC Operations as required.
- Maintains and improves skills in area of expertise through training and education
- Has the ability to interpret GMP regulations and apply to job function.
- Takes pride in maintaining the laboratory in a state of inspection readiness.
- Revises, reviews and initiates SOPs and other department documentation with minimal supervision.
- Takes a lead role in the management of QC spreadsheets and assures they remain in a validated state.
- May play a key role in non-routine tests, studies or projects.
- Prepares change control, deviation reports, and CAPA reports.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in a scientific discipline.
- At least five (5) years of experience in biopharmaceutical or related industry
