Quality Control Project Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a QUALITY CONTROL PROJECT ENGINEER to join our client in BERKELEY, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support generation of user requirements for QC Equipment and QC lab Facility.
- Review Technical Design package for completeness, identify gaps and rectify any errors.
- Lead design review meeting, resolve any open issues and obtain user approvals.
- Provide technical expertise during design, construction and C&Q phase of the project.
- Support site engineering and maintenance in establishing equipment maintenance, calibration & spare parts.
- Coordinate with site engineers, C&Q contractors, and process development scientists to complete site acceptance testing and qualification of equipment.
- Maintain and Update Project Schedule.
- Lead Engineering Change control/CCR preparation and expediting.
- Support development of Bid packages to bring various contractors on board.
- Support other Project Management activities and complete assigned activities to meet project schedule.
- Communicate to core team members on progress to meet project objectives and timelines.
- Work with managers and stakeholders to identify deliverables, project risks and resolve any open technical issues (risk mitigation).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS or MS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences or equivalent. Two (2+) years' experience as Technical leader/Project manager on QC lab project or equivalent experience working in a regulated the bio-pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record of successful delivery.
- Expertise in analytical method development, analytical method validation, and statistical quality control.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience with scientific technical writing including authoring and revising SOP's or technical reports.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with all levels of personnel.
- Tolerance for constant high level of challenge.
- Display excellent management, organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to maintain good working relationships with employees from diverse disciplines.
- Work in a fast paced pharmaceutical environment, able to work flexible schedules on a short quick notice.
- Strong understanding of QC lab operations and challenges.
- Excellent Project management and Change management skills.
- Experienced in developing and executing QC project plans, utilizing project management methodology and project planning and reporting tools.
- Results oriented and analytical.
- Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action.
