Quality Control Laboratory Technician Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a QUALITY CONTROL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN to join our client in Hayward, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Test raw materials, finished products, and non-routine samples, using QC analytical equipment (including, but not limited to: ICP-MS, GC, HPLC, IC, Autotitrator, Karl Fisher, Liquid Particle Counter).
- Prepare standards and samples, calibrate instruments, test samples and report accurate, on-time data, in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent record keeping is a must.
- Familiar with "clean" sample preparation and contamination control.
- Capable to perform routine maintenance on analytical equipment, as well as troubleshooting, with minimum supervision.
- Familiar with basic statistical concepts, and control charts.
- Support special projects: method development, validation, Gage R&R studies.
- Assist in investigations of deviations (failures/action limit excursions). Initiate Non- Conforming Records.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):

- Must have a BA or BS in Chemistry or other related science.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a Quality Control Laboratory environment.
- Adherence to workplace safety.
- Solid hands-on experience with analytical equipment: calibration, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting. ICP-MS experience preferred.
- Multi-tasking capability, attention to detail, operational discipline.
- Work afternoon shifts in a team atmosphere.

THE FOLLOWING SKILL SETS ARE HIGHLY PREFERRED:

- ICP-MS experience
- Familiar with ISO/TS Quality System
- Familiar with LIMS and SAP.
