Quality Control Inspector

Projektbeschreibung
One of the leading steel structure manufacturers in Northern Europe is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to work in their Production site in Szczecin. The QC Inspector will work on a 12 months freelance contract with possible extensions in this location and multiple opportunities in other European sites too.
The client requires an individual with a proven track record in Quality/QA/QC who has inspected WTG components and offshore steel structures during pre-assembly and post-assembly. The Quality Control Inspector must have held responsibility in reporting non-conformities (NCRs), proposing remedial actions, and providing solutions to management for the issues uncovered.
Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate tests and inspections with Classification Society (DNV) and other parties.
Monitor progress of works.
Carry out inspections of construction of offshore steel & tubular structures and piping, in accordance with required drawings, norms and rules.
Visual tests of welding joints.
Supervise quality during production processes.
Log quality defects & unconformities (NDTs)
Propose any remedial actions.
Produce inspections reports and associated documentation.
Close-out.
Ensure correct certification of welders.
Tasks:
Review and comment on AS Built Record Packs and other quality related documentation submitted by the contractor and his subcontractors in liaison with the appropriate package engineers.
Expedite required quality documentation, that is not forthcoming.
Attend the contractors and their subcontractors' works to carry out inspection and surveillance (these may be at locations outside Poland).
Monitoring and analysis of reliability tests.
Reporting all HSE issues - Proactively engage in resolution of HSE issues, where required to do so.
Once the WTGs are put together there will be a final inspection prior to transportation to the client's offshore asset.
Report on progress to the Quality Control Engineer (WTG) and WTG Package Managers.
Requirements:
5 years or more experience of Quality Control within manufacturing of offshore steel structures.
Proven experience in producing reports and appropriate documentation.
Hands on production/manufacturing experience.
Languages: English (fluent), Polish (desirable but not essential), and Danish (desirable but not essential).
