Quality Control Chemist Job

QC CHEMIST is needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in HUNTSVILLE, AL.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Performs QC laboratory chemical analyses of materials such as raw materials, in-process materials, stability, finished products and process validation
- Participates in investigations. Learns and stays current with regulatory guidance and compendia relevant to laboratories and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Conducts chemical analyses
- Uses laboratory software for routine analyses
- Accurately maintains laboratory data
- Maintains laboratory equipment in clean order; reports equipment problems to supervisor
- With guidance, detects and participates in OOS/OOT/NOE and other investigations
- Learns and stays current with regulatory guidance and compendia relevant to laboratories and pharmaceutical mfg.
- Follows internal processes related to controlled substances
- Follows EH&S procedures to ensure a safe work environment

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS degree in Chemistry or related life science field plus a minimum of three (3) years working as a Chemist in a QC Lab

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience independently conducting OOS/OOT/NOE and other investigations
