Beacon Hill Technologies has a 6 month contract opportunity for an experienced Quality/Business Analyst.

Job Details:

UNDER LIMITED SUPERVISION, A SOFTWARE QUALITY/BUSINESS ANALYST, SENIOR WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE STAKEHOLDERS TO DELIVER TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS THAT MEET THE BUSINESS NEEDS. The person acts as a consultant to the business, working with them to understand the business process, identifying the technology requirements and translating the requirements into deliverable solutions. The senior analyst should have knowledge of Mortgage Banking business, systems and emerging technology in the industry. This individual collaborates with business users and employs iterative methodologies to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The ideal candidate must be able to interpret and influence business user requirements so that the most relevant information is generated with the efficiency.

Must have experience in Manual QA Testing and using Quality Center.

Experienced in Agile Project Management methodology.

Knowledge of business and technology drivers.

Partner with various business units to implement requirements and drive the project forward.

Possess knowledge of the information needs of the business unit and uses this knowledge, as well as external sources, to bring solutions to enhance the line of business's competitive edge.

Researches, analyzes, creates and reviews the effectiveness and efficiency of existing and new processes and develops strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.

Lead requirements analysis and verification ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensive, traceable, feasible, unambiguous and verifiable.

Represent requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios where appropriate.

Exhibits problem solving skills to assist the business unit in rapidly resolving technical issues. Ability to identify critical issues within product specifications, design, and development while establishing resolutions quickly and efficiently.

Facilitates customer meetings at all levels, resolving requirement issues and gaining buy-in for solutions.

Develops and documents as-is/to-be business processes

Creates test scripts and test plans, reviews test plans, and manages the test process.

Manages projects through the project management process.

Provides system support across products to internal and external users. Expand this to say additional on call duties 24x7

Leads comprehensive planning of new application and enhancements to existing applications.

Use and understanding of development tools

Coordinate with it divisions

Vendor management relationship

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in a business or finance related field or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum six (6) years of business analysis experience (or equivalent).

Minimum five (5) years of experience working in software development.

Minimum four (4) years of experience working in an Agile or iterative development environment.

Mortgage Banking experience a plus

Experience gathering and documenting system functional design for information technology projects

Experience in product development, product life cycle management, functional and process analysis, and understanding emergent technology trends related to financial software.
