We are looking for our client, a big financial institution located in Luxembourg, with skills and abilities as stated below:
QUALITY ASSURANCE TEST MANAGER (F/M) FINANCIAL AREA LUXEMBOURG (REPORTING TO THE QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER)
Job Summary:
The purpose of the Test Manager role is to:
Prepare test strategy documents (regression test phase, future developments)
Regression test phase: Identify and document the complete set of regression test cases for a number of existing core financial systems to ensure current functionality is maintained after migration to a new platform.
Future developments: Identify and document test cases for new developments as required.
Test execution and management reporting
3 Main duties/responsibilities:
1. Creation of test strategy documents (regression test phase, future developments)
Define phase objective
Define test phase scope
o applications
o level of functionality
o tester profiles
Define phase duration
Describe environment including test tools
Describe risks and mitigating actions
Describe constraints
Describe process to ensure all regression scripts are kept up to
Date in accordance with specified functionality
Describe deliverables
2. Document test cases
Identify key business requirements (from system documentation & user interviews)
Identify and describe high level test scenarios
Write test cases, at least one per scenario
Record test cases in a standard test tool
Document any set up work needed for specific testing, ie Data
Preparation for specific scenario tests, writing of test cases in
Quality Center
Review deliverables with key stakeholders
3. Test Execution and Reporting
During the execution phase the Test manager will lead and manage a team of Test Analysts. They will provide support and guidance to IT project teams to ensure that agreed test criteria are met for each test phase.
Supervise and participate in test execution
Execute tests as documented in the test case (QC)
o Log defects and work with developers to resolve
o Retest and close defects when they have been resolved & update test tool
o Work closely with development, Project Manager and business end users to achieve timely resolution of issues that arise during the project
o Liaise and co-ordinate business testing activities prior to production releases
Management & Reporting:
Manage the day-to-day activities of the test team
Provide detailed status reports and test tracking progress
Log and highlight risks and issues
Provide Test Completion reports to Project Management and stakeholders
Experience/Skills required:
At least 3 years experience in
o test team management
o translating business/functional requirements into test cases
o test case preparation and test execution tasks
Proven ability to identify issues and proactively determine ways to resolve them
QA experience in an Investment Fund, Settlement & Custody environment is a distinct advantage
Knowledge of the following is an advantage:
o Mercury Quality Center
o Test Automation
Excellent documentation skills
Excellent inter-personal interaction and communication skills
Good understanding of QA processes and the Software Development Lifecycle
Accuracy, attention to detail and constant focus on quality
Ability to communicate with both business and technical departments
Experience of working with a structured project environment
Fluent in written and spoken English
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in related field
Assignment Details:
Location: Luxembourg
Starting date: August, 1st 2013
Assignment: full-time
Initial contract: for 3 months (optional extension)
