Quality Assurance Technician

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a QUALITY TECHNICIAN (BILINGUAL SPANISH) IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY to join our client in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors and directs mixers to ensure proper mixing of the ingredients for a consistent product
- Visually inspects and records information, checks temperature at all HACCP points of production
- Identifies quality concerns with ingredients and packing and brings them to the attention of management
- Monitors weighs and appearance of finished packaging
- Observes good manufacturing practices of production employees, Inspects and evaluates the cleaning and sanitizing operations, Inspects and understands packaging standards, Inspects sugar, salt safety
- Inspect the sanitary and mechanical conditions of the line
- Analyze trends in production/process data through statistical evaluation methods
- Assist with raw material and/or quality issues; ie, completion of and facilitation of reject/hold forms
- Support process/product trials through active involvement with suppliers/vendors, manufacturing
- Improvement, food safety, special projects, departmental, etc.
- Monitor product quality by conducting regular quality
- Audits of production lines and processes;
- Ensures compliance with health and safety manufacturing standards by all employees;
- Actively participate in tracking improvement projects and new product development;
- Reports and conducts follow-up
- Continuously monitor the quality of the product and materials to comply with product specifications
- Ensure cleaning and food safety conditions are maintained in the department through sanitation inspections
- Enforce company policies (food safety, GMP's, etc.) procedures and regulations
- Re assess quality control reports, recommendations on daily reports
- Dealing with USDA
- Actively reviewing regulations, QC programs, Audit programs, Sanitation programs

Job Qualifications:
- MUST BE BILINGUAL SPANISH
- Familiar with Quality Assurance
- Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- Prefer one to two (1-2) years experience in the Food industry
