Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Job

QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA) ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Marcos, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Quality Assurance
- Experience with ISO 9001
- Manufacturing or Medical Inspection experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Breakdown specifications, standards, and other documents with the goal of meeting customer requirements on an as need basis.
- Serve as company liaison on high profile projects requiring quality assurance by meeting with customer.
- Collaborate with engineering and production staff:
- Meet on a regular basis to resolve issues and develop improvements.
- Ensure flow down of critical information both contractual and with design criteria.
- Communicate information to manufacturing operations and the supply base.
- Develop, modify, apply and maintain receiving, in-process and final product quality control and quality assurance protocol for the processing of raw materials into partially finished or finished product.
- Assures any components special process requirement are met.
- Conduct internal ISO 9001 audits and work with our ISO registrars to ensure compliance of ISO 9001.
- Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating products for conformance to requirements.
- Performs nonconforming product analysis and disposition.
- Ensure non-conformances are documented and closed out per ISO 9001 processes.
- Ensure that corrective measures are in line with acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
- Maintain SPC data for each department, as well as, train staff to maintain SPC data.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum three (3) years manufacturing and/or medical inspection environment.
- College or equivalent work experience.
- Must be able to teach and operate standard inspection devices and/or elementary testing equipment.
- Knowledge on use of calipers, height gauges, radius gauges, dials, blue prints and ISO processes.
- Computer Literate: Excel, Sytline, Outlook
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T and NDT techniques).
- Process oriented and organized able to manage time effectively.

- Weld inspection certification
- Knowledge of BOM items, planning techniques
