Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer - Grey Box

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a QA CONSULTANT to join our client in Sunnyvale, CA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

As a Software Quality Assurance Device Test Engineer, you will join the team of hands-on, passionate and seasoned SQA professionals developing innovative consumer-centric product solutions. This position has potential to be converted to a full time position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create test plans and test cases.
- Review user interfaces for conformity and functionality.
- Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products.
- Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines.
- Finding, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
- Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.
- Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Recent Linux/Unix experience or demonstration that the candidate is very comfortable with Linux (ie ability to use the vi editor, search logs using Grep)
- DEVICE TESTING EXPERIENCE (MUST HAVE ANDROID DEVICE) AND CLIENT SERVER TESTING EXPERIENCE
- Understanding the system under test, ability to debug/isolate issues by reading logs, grey-box testing experience
- Consumer Electronics (device testing)
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written (for writing bugs reports and test plans)
