Quality Assurance/Manufacturing Engineer

We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance/Manufacturing Engineer for a 12 month contract in Milton Keynes.

Please find below the main outline of the role:

Job Purpose:

To introduce new products into Manufacture utilising Lean and Modern Quality prevention and Control methods.

Main Duties:

1.Ensure Control exists at each stage of product develop and introduction to Manufacture.
2.Creation of Control Plans and defect risk mitigation
3.Introduce Lean processes/techniques

Key accoutabilities:

1.Product is effectively validated.
2.Internal and Supplier Control Plans
3.Risk mitigation methodology is utilised at product and component levels.
4.Compliance of Stage gate requirements through the NPI process.
5.Effective Control of design and software changes.

Planning:

1.Provide Input into the APQP process.
2.Effective time Management of resources.

Job requirements:

1.Engineering Degree
2.10 years doing Quality and Manufacturing within a Medical Device or precision engineering/electronics environment.
3.Competence with component manufacturing processes
4.Lean Manufacturing trained

1.Medical Devices
2.ISO 13485 understanding.?
3.APQP in depth understanding and application.
4.Software Control methodology.
5.Reliability Engineering.

Key competencies:

1.Prevention of defects methodology within the product development cycle.
2.Lean Manufacturing
3.Project Management.
4.Statistical process Control
5.Supplier development.
