Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to work on specific and high profile MOD account. This is a new role reporting into an established function, which represents a fantastic opportunity to make an impact into a very welcoming, supportive and team orientated division.

Key Responsibilities

- Determining, negotiating and agreeing Contract Quality Management plans and tailoring of quality management of BMS processes to ensure conformance with the contractual obligations specified.
- Engaging with the delivery leads to provide guidance for achieving client quality expectations and acceptance for all contract documentation quality.
- Raising awareness of the quality function.
- Developing and introducing templates, tools, metrics and best practices to verify products to meet contractual requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in key reviews necessary to ensure quality in the deliverables.
- Facilitate the development/maintenance of quality control standards/metrics to determine improvement areas and strategies in the overall product development life cycle; define, execute and report results of audits, identifying process gaps/quality issues.
- Providing thought leadership in quality control practices providing feedback throughout the life cycle of each.
- Knowledge transfer to the delivery teams of quality principles, quality techniques and methods.
- Support the delivery team in the event of a client, DNV or Sopra Steria audit.

Essential Skills

- Must have experience in adherence to recognised quality standards such as ISO9000, NATO AQAP standards.
- Experience of working in a Defence environment, knowledge and use of industry specific standards.
- Knowledge of working with quality control methods and tools.
- Experience of working on contracts with system development and test activities.
- Experience of conducting software audits.
- Experience of assuring quality with sub-contractors.
- Experience of producing quality plans across Prime & Sub Contractors.
