Quality Assurance Engineer Job

QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Pittsburgh, PA.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Analyze trade-offs between test methods, equipment, automated inspections, and various manufacturing technologies.
- Support the development of optimal manufacturing solutions for new product introductions.
- Identify and lead advanced manufacturing development opportunities in concert with the manufacturing technology SME's and NPD.
- Support the development of manufacturing process documentation including process flow charts, process failure modes and effects analysis (PFMEA), material masters, SPC, & visual work instructions (VWI), drawings, and plant documentation.
- Lead design validation activities and process validations on packaging equipment and test systems.
- Provide training support to production personnel on all aspects of the manufacturing process.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
- Five (5) years minimum experience working within a concurrent, new product development model with focus on manufacturing process development & qualification.
- Experience with medical device packaging strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of packaging design, ISO 11607, sterilization technologies, material properties, and packaging equipment desired.
