Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Systems Engineer working on QMS systems providing Quality Assurance support working with FAI, audits and documentation in line with 90001 standards for internationally successful defence energy and communications company Quality Systems Engineer will provide Quality Assurance to support the business, working as part of the team to maintain, adherence to the quality management system and to promote a culture of continuous improvement, improving business performance and maintaining the existing ISO9001. Responsibilities/Duties: Conducting internal audits. Monitoring Non-Conformances and associated corrective actions. Conducting supplier audits/assessments when required. Maintaining the supplier approval process. Performing First Article Inspections on Subcontractor deliverables. Provide Guidance to all staff on the application of the company QMS. Review and approval of the deliverable documentation. Review and approval of change requests and concessions. Representing the Ultra QA Function at internal meetings, design reviews and customer meetings. Investigating Quality problems associated with design, production and service. Proposing/facilitating change to the QMS to improve product quality and/or business efficiency. The ideal candidate must have: 2years experience of performing a Quality Assurance role in a design and manufacturing organisation with some electrical/electronic or software content. Have experience of applying and maintaining an IS09001 Approved Quality Management system. This role will be based on a 6month contract based ideally in Southampton although the job holder would be expected to travel to other sites as well as visiting supplier and customer locations in the UK and Abroad with all expenses paid. Pay Rates depending on the candidates experience from £22phr Interviews are to take place next week, with the successful applicant to start the following week.
