You have industry-leading technical abilities that enable you to ensure that code and projects using that code are of the highest quality, meet all target requirements, and produce a superior customer experience. You do this by driving development processes that minimize defect introduction, as well as creating and executing testing regimens to uncover and troubleshoot defects that are present.

The position requires a strong Engineer with experience in testing of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications and services. Qualified candidates will need to programmatically test the product, measure test coverage, drive testability and diagnostic ability into the product, while promoting best practices in quality areas. The test software you will build should expose API defects in production level code as well as defects at the component and feature integration prospective. You should command the skill to communicate clearly and effectively. Candidates will need to define test plans, test specifications, test suites, test cases as well as design tools for unit, functional and performance testing in a programmatic manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in the full development life cycle, working within broadly defined parameters, including test plan execution and software quality needs.
- Recognize and adopt best practices in software engineering: design, testing, version control, documentation, build, and deployment, all with an emphasis on software quality.
- Write and execute test plans, design and develop test tools, debug and report code bugs and push quality upstream.
- Expose API defects in production level code as well as defects at the component and feature integration level; provide test scripts that are comprehensive, accurate and repeatable and will test both sunny-day and rainy-day scenarios.
- Own the maintenance and extension of an entire software development test suites and frameworks and serve as a test lead within the operations and technology team on complex projects.
- Work closely with the technical leaders to develop the best technical design and approach for testing our functionality at scale.
- Builds software solutions where the problem is not well defined. Capable of understanding the interaction between the components in a distributed system in order to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Create and execute appropriate quality plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts; manage and execute project plans and meeting delivery commitments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 4-7 years of software testing
- Experience in testing of distributed/scalable systems and high volume transaction applications and services
- Experience in QA Methodologies; ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files, experience in designing and building test tools and systems
- Knowledge of modern best practices for professional software development including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Demonstrated ability to identify real-world user problems and contribute to the technology solutions to solve them
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
- Experience working with RDBMS including MySQL or Oracle
- Strong leadership qualities including excellent judgment, relentlessly high standards, ability to dive deep and remain in touch with business details, drive innovation in their teams, think big, and deliver results

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Mobile Device experience including testing, installing apps, debugging
- Understanding of a broad range of testing methodologies
- Ability to write and maintain extensive test strategies, plans, cases and scripts
- In-depth understanding of formal software development processes and procedures
- Testing experience with (Web, XML, SOA, databases, Client Server, HTML)
- SQL (Oracle, MySQL)
- Linux/Unix -Shell, some Scripting
- Programming (Java, Perl, Ruby, Python) a plus
