You have industry-leading technical abilities that enable you to ensure that code and projects using that code are of the highest quality, meet all target requirements, and produce a superior customer experience. You do this by driving development processes that minimize defect introduction, as well as creating and executing testing regimens to uncover and troubleshoot defects that are present. Must define test plans, test specifications, test suites, test cases as well as design tools for unit, functional and performance testing in a programmatic manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in the full development life cycle, working within broadly defined parameters, including test plan execution and software quality needs.
- Verify that data is transformed correctly according to various business requirements and rules.
- Make sure that all projected data is loaded into the data warehouse without any data loss and truncation.
- Make sure that ETL application appropriately rejects, replaces with default values and reports invalid data.
- Make sure that data is loaded in data warehouse within prescribed and expected time frames to confirm improved performance and scalability.
- Recognize and adopt best practices in software engineering: design, testing, version control, documentation, build, and deployment - all with an emphasis on software quality.
- Write and execute test plans, design and develop test tools, debug and report code bugs and push quality upstream.
- Expose defects in production level data source as well as defects at the component and feature integration level; provide test scripts that are comprehensive, accurate and repeatable and will test both sunny-day and rainy-day scenarios.
- Own the maintenance and extension of software development test suites and frameworks and serve as a test lead within our operations and technology team on complex projects.
- Profile High Volume Transaction Data.
- Build software solutions where the problem is not well defined. Capable of understanding the interaction between the components in a distributed system in order to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Create and execute appropriate quality plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts.
- Manage and execute project plans and meet delivery commitments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 4-7 years of software testing
- Experience and the ability to understand the data warehouse concepts for high-volume transaction systems
- Experience in testing of high-volume data centric systems
- Experience in QA Methodologies; ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files, experience in designing and building test tools and systems
- Knowledge of modern best practices for professional software development including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Demonstrated ability to identify real-world user problems and contribute to the technology solutions to solve them
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
- Experience working with RDBMS including MySQL or Oracle in a Data Warehouse environments
- Strong leadership qualities including excellent judgment, relentlessly high standards
- Ability to drive innovation in their teams, invoke passion in others, think big, and deliver results

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Understanding of a broad range of testing methodologies
- Ability to write and maintain extensive test strategies, plans, cases and scripts
- In-depth understanding of formal software development processes and procedures
- Testing experience with databases with the ability to look/analyze at data different ways
- Advanced SQL (Oracle, MySQL)
- Linux/Unix - Shell Scripting
- Programming/Scripting (Perl (preferred), Ruby, Python)
- Data Analytic skills using tools like excel (pivot tables), Hyperion
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment - where change is the only constant as team player
