Projektbeschreibung

The Quality Assurance Engineer supports the Root Cause Failure Analysis process of Warranty returns and continual improvements of current industrial automation products:

- Provide deliverables (ie: RCFA Reports, Warranty Analysis), and making sure to link/feedback the Customer concerns with the Product Quality and Engineering Teams.
- Participate in the troubleshooting steps to identify failure modes and root cause.
- Develop plans and conduct tests to evaluate new products, modifications to existing products and to qualify new components.
- Contribute to new product development by participating in team efforts.
- Under direction of the Customer Interface Manager, this position will serve as the Quality Representative in Customer Issue Resolution activities.
- Issue/release Production Hold, avoiding suspect units to be assembled.
- Perform data analysis using Statistical Methodology, including MINITAB tools.
- Execute tests to verify performance of components and/or products to specifications.
- Provide issue analysis reports based on troubleshooting/test results or comparisons to similar designs and make recommendations for corrective action.
- Understand the operation of laboratory equipment and provide training and supervision to technicians, as necessary, on laboratory equipment.
- Perform failure mode analysis of field returned product, of product audit failures and of components, as needed.
- Develop and execute audits on mature products (by Product Line Responsibility List).
- Help maintain ISO certification by being knowledgeable of and following appropriate documents in the Quality Manual, the Product Safety Manual, and the Design Qualification Manual. Recommend enhancements to the manuals when practices deviate from documented procedures.
- Perform ISO internal quality system audits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- B.S. Electrical Engineering Degree required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- 2 years of experience working with electronic products as a part of a quality system, design or support function
- Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques required along with quality systems measurement techniques (SPC, Pareto analysis, etc.)
- Must conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14001, etc.) as well as company policies and procedures, working cooperatively with all external and internal customers
