Quality Assurance Engineer

A manufacturer of excavators is currently seeking Quality Assurance Engineers to establish, maintain, and improve in-process quality systems, plans and verification / evaluation audits to ensure high product and service quality to customers at their facility in the Calhoun, GA, area. These are 3 to 5 month CONTRACT positions, with a possibility of extension. Local candidates only.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Write quality work instructions with photos
- Use statistical analysis, capability assessments, and audits to ensure products meet or exceed requirements and customer expectations
- Develop quality standards and critical-to-quality characteristics for product and process definition
- Set-up and evaluate finished units for adherence to quality standards
- Perform ISO9001:2008 internal audits

REQUIREMENTS

- BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in another technical field
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant quality or engineering experience
- Project Management skills, familiarity with project scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project)
- Capable of applying quality tools (Design Reviews, FMEA, Control Plans, Fault Analysis, Product Validation / Verification, Statistical Techniques)
- Able to read complicated drawings and interpret / explain Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance
