Job Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership of the QA testing team for both manual and automatic testing; and associated environments, processes, documentations including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports.
- Responsible for tactical leadership and expertise throughout the test life cycle including managing the QA testing team including performance reviews; create an environment for continuous improvement initiatives and process improvement programs
- Lead, coordinate, and facilitate change management and conflict resolution as necessary to control all releases to the production environment based upon risk, IT management input, project management input and business input.
- Identify and assist in the removal of impediments that related to implementation and quality assurance environments.
- Establish matrixes and measurements for quality and releases reporting to IT management and the Program Management Office Director.
- Teaches, trains and develops quality and production personnel to assure continuity and skill growth.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering or other related fields, prefer Master degree.
- Eight (8+) years of experience as a quality assurance manager.
- Two (2+) years of experience in leadership role managing IT resources and IT projects.
- MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio).
- Previous experience in release management and development of associated processes.
- Experience leading the transformation of Quality in a hardware business such as automotive, electronics or telecommunications business is a plus.
- Proven experience creating SIT test strategy and test plans, designing test cases/and scripts, generating test data, executing test cases, and reporting and tracking defects to closure.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, concepts and release management processes.
- Proven experience in a leadership role in establishing and execution of stakeholder meetings and client relationship development and management at all levels of the organization between business groups and technology resources.
- Excellent presentation/verbal/written communication skills to present non-technical and technical information in a clear and concise manner to individuals of different backgrounds, technical expertise, and levels of authority.
- Prefer experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Kaizen methodologies, familiar with engineering processes and terminologies.
