SR QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST SEATTLE, WA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

This job contributes to our hugely popular clients success by establishing and sustaining quality assurance processes, practices, methods, tools and controls in support of application and system requirement, development and test activities throughout the software development and sustainment life cycles.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervises and performs complex system and problem analysis associated with applications development and test management activities encompassing project, release, and sustainment efforts
- Constructs and reviews test plans, scenarios, cases and scripts, ensuring that requirement coverage is adequate and business requirements, functional specifications and designs are linked to test artifacts
- Provides supervision and guidance to other Quality Assurance Analysts, developers, and testers in the development and implementation of quality assurance processes, methods, and tools
- Provides status and makes recommendations on meeting test criteria and production rollout readiness
- Works with project and business resources to ensure functional and technical specifications and designs fulfil the requirements quality criteria
- Accurately monitors and communicates test execution results
- Creates and follows current processes, standards and practices to develop, test and implement quality assurance operational procedures for use by applicable requirements, development, test, and quality assurance teams
- Provides assessment information on business and functional impacts
- Models and acts in accordance with guiding principles

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

- Android Application Testing experience (2 years)
- Android Device Monitor (formerly DDMS) experience with or strong knowledge
- Android Debug Bridge experienced with or strong knowledge
- Work experience in software requirements, development or testing with creating and executing quality assurance test plans, scenarios, cases, checklists and scripts (5 years)
- Experience in software requirements, development, and testing activities with multiple, simultaneous quality assurance efforts, and a track record as a contributor with providing quality assurance support in an analyst capacity, including tools development and usage (5 years)
- Demonstrated collaboration on project teams and interaction with project managers, business and functional analysts, developers and the business community directly related to quality assurance responsibilities and roles (5 year)
- Experience with reading, interpreting, and reviewing code (5 years)
- Demonstrated test management processes and technical skills, including an understanding of manual and automated test execution and performance related tools (5 years)
- Demonstrated knowledge using version control and defect tracking methods, including an understanding of associated tools (5 years)
- Knowledge of project management skills, including an understanding of project management processes and related tools (5 years)
- Knowledge of application software development life cycle concepts

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

- Ability to manage numerous concurrent activities and tasks under time constraints
- Ability to and instruct and educate others on developing applicable test plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts
- Basic understanding of data models and able to write queries against a database
- Ability to own and drive the test effort for a small project or feature of a larger project
- Organization and planning skills
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
- Technical systems knowledge
