Quality Assurance Analyst

The QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST is responsible for assuring the quality of and adherence to systems/software product standards, processes and procedures. Compliance with agreed upon standards and procedures is evaluated through process monitoring, product evaluation and work product audits. Tests software and systems for quality assurance.

OVERVIEW

- Meet with key business stakeholders and project members to document business and functional requirements
- Work on medium projects and be a team member on larger projects
- Practical experience in IT quality programs and practices
- Assure the quality of and adherence to system/software product standards processes and procedures.
- Provide practical guidance to build upon quality assurance/test standards to achieve business benefits for all stakeholder groups and focus on continual process improvement to sustain customer satisfaction
- Support the organization's business initiatives by participating in the requirements solicitation activities
- Partner with test management and testing resources on the analysis and development of test strategies and plans
- Works collaboratively to identify solutions and resolve problems
- Adhere to pertinent laws, regulations, client's Compliance Policy and external compliance requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5-7 years related experience
- IT experience necessary and financial services experience preferred
- Working knowledge of requirements management methodologies and business requirements elicitation
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Practical understanding of quality cost/benefit principles and quality effect on business decisions
- Working knowledge of industry and/or business trends for own area
- Sound knowledge of HP Quality Center and other related tools, development methodologies and defect management practices
- Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills
- Sound knowledge of industry and/or business trends for own area
- Good organizational skills coupled with a detail-oriented approach to testing
- Working knowledge of project management, quality assurance, test methodologies and best practices
- Ability to prioritize workload and detailed approach to work
- Basic understanding of financial services policies, procedures, products and industry practices
- Good ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Experienced in meeting facilitation and critical thinking
- Good communication skills both written and oral with the ability to use and describe technical information
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio or comparable software
- Good organizational skills coupled with a detail-oriented approach to testing
- Working understanding of system development life cycle
- Working understanding of automation testing
- Working understanding of automation testing processes
- Strong ability to evaluate automation test scripts and test results
