This is a 12 month contract opportunity.Overview
Our client is seeking QA Testers to assist in the development of a Quality Management System that establishes project quality standards. This role defines a testing strategy and executes testing on new or modified applications and infrastructure to validate that functionality conforms to established requirements. The IS Quality Analyst plays an essential role in establishing knowledge management guidelines throughout the life cycle of a project, enhancement or change.Role and Responsibilities
- Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
- Create Quality Assurance Plan based on our Client's template.
- Create and maintain requirement traceability Matrix.
- Coordinate and validate functional, system, integration and smoke testing.
- Create test reports on test results.
- Collaborate with relevant operational and build teams to construct testing and implementation strategies
- Develop, revise, execute and validate quality standards and test procedures on new or modified applications or infrastructure to evaluate design and functionality
- Define and steward a Quality Management System throughout the life cycle of the change
- Collect and track defects to closure, prepare documentation to capture test procedure evaluations, testing and any corrective measures taken
- Identify and evaluate risks and participate in mitigation and control activities
- Maintain appropriate archival of QA documentation (eg test cases, test results, test data, etc.).
- Assist creating and maintaining a library of comprehensive regression scripts.
- Contribute to enterprise knowledge management by creating a library of repeatable testing artefacts
- Inform Project Managers or Team Leads on the status of pertinent tasks
- Continually monitor processes used to create project deliverables and identify any Quality Assurance process improvement activities
- Manage the testing toolset.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in establishing/documenting/executing test strategies/plans/cases from business and functional requirements
- Minimum of 5 years direct experience contributing to the success of a range of small-to-medium projects with increasing levels of complexity and business criticality
- Familiarity with, and demonstrated understanding of enterprise's business and technical architecture
- Excellent knowledge of electronic document management
- Experience executing and documenting tests, raising and progressing defects
- Minimum 5 years experience working with IS in an oil and gas domain
- Familiarity with different phases of SDLC, and Testing Methodologies
- Experience testing Open Text's Livelink system
- Microsoft Visio [li[Microsoft Office.
