If you are looking to work within a Child Protection team that is well structured and covers a small area then this is the perfect opportunity. My client is searching for an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join their Child Protection team in South West England. The team will cover the Weymouth South and Portland area only. This means that your team is dealing with a small caseload (20-25 cases), which allows you to focus on each case, giving you job satisfaction.

In this role, you will be part of a stable team that offers a great level of support. Hence, you will receive help with the difficult cases which will allow you to work in a more relaxed environment and enjoy your time within the team.

The position involves dealing with Child Protection cases, undertaking children in need assessments and Section 47 Investigations. The right candidate must have a minimum of 2 years child protection experience in the UK. Also, experience in initial and core assessments, Section 47 Investigations and court work is very important. You must be registered with HCPC and have a full UK driving license.

This is a short term role, ending in March, with the possibility to be extended. The pay rate ranges between £26 to £28 per hour, depending on experience.
