Qualified Architect

Eden Brown are currently recruiting for several Architects to work with an international design studio, on Ministry of Defence projects.

Based on secondment, in Aldershot, out client has a range of projects under consideration: mainly focusing on residential work (multi-unit, low-rise housing) there will also be some commercial and industrial projects, along with other sundry buildings. As such, they are looking to hire architects with a similar sector background. There is more variety given in that several projects are at early design stages, while others are moving on to site; thus applicants who can show a versatility will also be preferred. Key to all of this is a desire to deliver solid architecture that will stand the test of time. Given the nature of the work, the build-rate of all work done is very high, so again those who have a desire and background in seeing their designs built, being comfortable overseeing site operations will have an advantage.

In terms of specifics, they are looking for fully ARB qualified Architects with a high level of proficiency with Autocad and Sketchup skills. Extensive practical knowledge of UK building regulations with design and project delivery experience, from feasibility studies to fully detailed construction information and site co-ordination. You must be able to work with and lead other architects and technicians in developing scheme designs and producing fully detailed construction information for a rolling programme of building designs. Previous experience of working for the Ministry of Defence and/or having Security Clearance would also be advantageous.
