QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT - WORLD LEADING OIL AND GAS CO.

World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Accountant (ACA or Equivalent) to join this London based Holdings & Treasury team of 25+ professional accountants. You will be interacting with senior stakeholders and advising on a variety of accounting issues as well as the wider implications of transactions.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INVOLVE:

- Working with the project teams and Group reporting to agree the accounting for newly externalised pension schemes.
- Providing accounting advice and guidance to project teams on a variety of transactions to ensure that all items are appropriately reported and understood.
- Ensuring efficient and tightly controlled reporting processes are in place to support the quarterly Group reporting and annual statutory reporting processes

This is a challenging and varied role, giving a unique overview of different areas business. You will enjoy taking the initiative and use your creativity and interpersonal skills to develop the most effective solutions to accounting and reporting issues, while sharing knowledge and best practices throughout the finance community.

ABOUT YOU:

- Qualified Accountant (ACA or Equivalent)
- Trained with one of the larger Accountancy Practices
- Excellent IFRS technical accounting expertise
- Ability to generate innovative solutions to varied and unique accounting issues and effectively communicate advice
- Ability to take the lead in ensuring individual entity and group needs are met
- Appreciate a working environment that focuses on constant improvement, personal ownership, professional development, efficiency and impact on the bottom line

Confident and self-motivated, your outstanding interpersonal and communication skills mean you will be able to liaise effectively with all levels of management and other businesses. You will have proven experience in analysing complex issues and making decisions in a timely fashion, balancing priorities effectively to ensure deadlines are met.

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
