QLIKVIEW DEVELOPER
An experienced QlikView developer is required to be responsible for developing dashboards, automation of reporting and insight capability for key areas across the business
JOB FUNCTIONS AND SCOPE:
- Key QlikView developer with very strong QlikView application skills.
- Strong background in data analysis, expert data modeller and have strong SQL skills preferable in a data warehousing environment.
- Develop and test BI applications incorporating business dashboards, analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with business stakeholders.
- Analyse business performance, identify business insights and implement system enhancements.
- Lead a team of junior developers
KEY SKILLS
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the use of the QlikView version 9 or higher with proven experience in the following areas:
- QlikView Scripting and ETL development; working on large data sets; integrating data from more than one source; use of complex QlikView functions and developing most optimal scripts for a given solution.
- Datamodelling experience with strong knowledge of star schemas.
- Optimisation of query model for query and BI toolset performance.
- Experience with complex data models.
- Ability to develop strong Front End UI design. Familiarity with all charts and graphs to determine the best options for a given situation.
- Complex expressions for dynamic aggregation.
- Experience in QlikView security models and publisher.
- High level of analytical capability with an ability to identify key trends, anomalies and the creative mindset to develop innovative approaches to problem solving.
- Strong communication and relationship skills for liaison with a wide variety of business and technical contacts across all levels of seniority.
- Professional documentation skills for authoring business and functional specification documents to drive IT solution design.
- Self starter with excellent attention to detail.
EXPERIENCE
- 4+ year's practical experience of complex data analytics against large-scale RDBMS.
- 3+ years QlikView design and development.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
Candidates must have either a primary or Masters Degree (minimum 2:1) in a numeric discipline (eg Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Management Science, MSc Business Analytics, MBS/MBA with specialism in Information Management).
