Qlikview Developer

Barclays Investment Banking Division is looking for a Qlikview Developer to join our Treasury Technology team, which are currently looking to conduct a Strategic Architecture assessment. A key tenet of the strategic architecture is to re-use, wherever possible, existing infrastructure rather than building anew, and are therefore seeking to leverage the Qlikeview infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing and delivering Qlikview dashboards to business stakeholders to support the business reporting requirements within Treasury. This involves close interaction with data providers, business users and IT on the development of the reports that supports them.

Main Duties will include:

- Perform all levels of application design, including Datamodelling, data transformation and dashboard design across the global projects.
- Provide ongoing user engagement & support in ensuring project consistency across treasury.
- Organise and lead meetings or workshops to gather requirements, architect and plan with working groups of users and IT
- Work with IT counterparts to maintain consistent, scalable and manageable Qlikview projects
- Liaise with Project Managers, development, QA, and Release teams globally to plan, define and execute requirements
- Maintain up to date knowledge on system infrastructure and capabilities and interdependencies in the Bank
- Working with various upstream BAs, PMs and IT
- Work as a member of an effective team, contributing to ad hoc requests without losing focus on primary objectives

You will be responsible for designing and delivering Qlikview dashboards to business stakeholders to support the business reporting requirements within Treasury. This involves close interaction with data providers, business users and IT on the development of the reports that supports them.

The successful candidate must have the following skill set and experience:

- Strong proven development skills, including specific experience of Datamodelling and dashboard design within Qlikview v11 and Publisher experience
- Experience working on strategic projects, preferably within an investment bank, consultancy or comparable trading operation.
- SQL BI experience ideally.
- Delivery of multiple tasks simultaneously and working under pressure
- Experience and confidence to discuss application issues convincingly with senior management
- Strong collaboration skills working across boundaries and building strong, long term, working relationships
- Good team player with a proven ability to deliver timely and high quality work.
- Takes ownership and pro-actively drives work-streams forward to successful completion.
- Flexible approach to work including the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively

Desirable Experience:

- Broad knowledge of banking & trading products - Ideally Treasury function business knowledge
- Investment Banking experience
- NPrinting
- SQL Development experience
- JavaScript (D3.js etc), HTML, CSS experience
