QC Assoc Scientist Job

QC ASSOC SCIENTIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Experience in performing quantitative cell-based and biochemical/immunological assays
- Strong knowledge of cGMP
- Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or B.Sc./M.Sc. with at least three (3) years of industry experience
- Cell-based potency assays and immunoassays

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide method management support for biochemical/immunochemical and cell-based assays for marketed products.
- The candidate will serve as a scientific and technical leader of his/her area of expertise, contributing to troubleshooting, assay design, and qualification/validation strategy, and independently perform testing as needed in support of analytical method validation, investigation and method life cycle management.
- Expectations will also include providing scientific justifications in deviation assessment, coordinating critical reagent qualification, writing technical protocols and reports, performing some routine lab maintenance, conducting compliance check, writing SOPs/test procedures, leading training and technical transfer activities and providing guidance to lower level personnel.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Prior experience in performing quantitative cell-based and biochemical/immunological assays in the context of relative potency determination is highly desirable.
- Successful candidates will be expected to be flexible and able to run well-defined experiments, analyze and present data, write protocols and reports with minimal guidance.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements is desirable.
- Excellent skills in teamwork and collaboration with international and external partner organizations are required.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills are a must.
- Must be highly motivated and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
