QA TESTER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in requirements and design specification reviews
- Develop and Execute test plans.
- Write Test Suites for manual execution.
- Write Test Suites for automated execution.
- Run manual tests of the products.
- Run automated tests of the products using HP's Quick Test Pro.
- Report product defects in the defect tracking system.
- Report automation framework defects in the defect tracking system.
- Assist the Lead QA Engineer with migrating builds to the Development, Staging and production environments
- Provide daily status reports and test results.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5 years of professional experience with multi-tiered financial transaction systems
- 5 years of professional experience with SCM and release management
- 5 years of professional experience developing test plans, test cases and status reports.
- 5 years of professional experience working with bug tracking tools such as TFS, Bugzilla and JIRA.
- 5 years of professional experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- 3 years of professional experience working with T-SQL or PL/SQL.
- 3 years of professional experience working with MS SQL.
- 3 years of professional experience with Microsoft's Team Foundation Server.
- 2 to 3 years developing automation scripts with a Scripting language such as VBScript or JavaScript is a big plus.
- Solid understanding of the software development and software quality life cycles in an Agile environment
- Ability to take on the quality assurance leadership of multiple simultaneous ongoing projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent judgment skills to assess the high risk areas.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to demonstrate competence and self-motivation in analysing problems and performing root cause analysis
- Positive personal experience working closely and amicably with the business owners and the application development team to achieve the mutual goal of high-quality products and services.
