QA Test Manager in Essen

We are currently looking for a QA Test Manager (f/m) in Essen to join on a freelance basis.

Start: asap
Duration: 3 months (+ Option to be extended)
Location: Essen
Language: English, German beneficial

Project background:
For a cloud based platform development project the client is looking for an experienced Test Manager who can set up the Test Management and support the further development.

Tasks

- set up the testing and QA process in alignment with the scrum master and the platform developers
- plan automated test cycles, integrate into overall testing cycles
- ensure success of continuous integration and quality control through automation
- work with Product Owner / Co-Product Owners, Technical Architects and Development Team to understand functional and technical requirements

Must-Have-Skills

- Platform-Project:

Development projects on the platform (PHP, Java, Node.JS)
- Agile Testing:

agile projects, ideally with JIRA/Zephyr
- DevOps Tools:

Tools: Gitflow, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory

Skills

At least 5 years experience as Test Manager in agile environment

Experience in leading a team of tester

Experience with dev ops

Understanding of testing concepts & experience with testing tools & testing styles such as:
unit testing / automated testing / continuous integration / NFP testing /Load and performance testing

Familiarity with common user-centric testing practice as contextual Inquiry or lead user test. (Example set of tools Jira + plugins (Zephyr), Gitlab, Jenkins)

Ability to understand business value requirements and acceptance criteria and translate them into test objectives.
