QA Test Lead

POSITION OVERVIEW:

You will be responsible to support multiple IT initiatives concurrently for Quality Assurance and Quality Control efforts in accordance with defined processes, standards and methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Review requirements for completeness and testability, and identify gaps and inconsistencies
- Write risk based test plans and be able to communicate the plans to the project teams and help manage the efforts of the team to meet the plans
- Write and execute test cases based on requirements
- Ensure traceability between requirements and test cases
- Document test results
- Identify findings and work with project team members to resolve
- Monitor, manage and communicate findings to appropriate project team members
- Prepare and report quality and testing metrics
- Participate in reviews of business requirements, system design and user acceptance test
- Participate in project meetings
- Mentor, coach and train associates on QA methodologies, practices and techniques, when requested
- Coordinate the efforts of testers writing or executing test cases

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or related field.
- 5+ years of experience with Software Quality Assurance and software testing
- Strong experience with Black Box and White Box testing, automated and manual testing, and various testing tools such as Quick Test Professional (QTP), LoadRunner etc
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and ALM(Application Lifecycle Management) tool implementation
- Strong experience with relational databases-SQL server, Oracle, PL/SQL - This is more of a nice to have
