QA Technician

QA Technician - Automation Development and Testing

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design, implement, build, and test low maintenance applications/tools to meet validation and process needs.
- Provide work estimates and progress reports.
- Update existing/writing new automation scripts.
- Debug source code and script's execution results.
- Communicate testing results and defect status.
- Report defects with detailed information to reproduce bugs.
- Work with development team to resolve issues.
- Help maintain automation environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Years of experience: 5 years
- Strong automation/development skills on different platforms (OSX, Linux, Windows)
- Experience with Scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Perl) on Linux and Windows environments
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux debugging tools and techniques
- Software Test Automation experience, including environment setup and troubleshooting, OS deployment backup and imaging solutions
- Experience building PCs from hardware components (CPU, Motherboard)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Linux/Windows system admin expertise

NICE TO HAVE:

- Android/iOS testing experience
- Experience developing/testing ReST based services
- Experience working with databases
- Agile development experience
- QT/PyQT or WxPython development experience
- Object Oriented software design and development
- Testing on preproduction hardware and firmware
- Familiarity with Scripting in DOS environments
- Understanding of PC architecture
