Job Title: Quality Assurance QA Market and Credit Risk

DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for building and executing test cases, develop and manage test data based on Investments needs, maintaining and using the test environment, coordinating the release to certification environment. The incumbent needs to possess working knowledge of the comprehensive investment products/processes and the complexity of the technologies and processes certification environment and be able to effectively work with database management tools as well as platform admin tools/processes.
SKILLS (MANDATORY):
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- A university or college degree
- A minimum of5 years working experience in Information Technology or Investment Business area with minimum of 2 year in a QA Testing area
- Experience in investment related business system testing (eg Trading Order Management System, Pricing System, Performance Management, Cash Management, etc.)
- Experience in Enterprise Market and Credit Risk Systems such Adaptiv, Algorithmics, MiSys etc.
- Experience in understanding Market and Credit Risk requirements and building test cases/execution
- Should be well versed in creating appropriate Testing Artifacts
- Ability to work independently in a fast changing environment. Results oriented, team player
- Good logical, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge/experience in working with and building applications in MS Excel (VBA, Excel functions, Using add-in) an asset
- Knowledge/experience in developing in SQL and C#
- Knowledge in RDBMS
- Possess IT Back Office Operations knowledge or experience
- Knowledge/experience in using Industry leading Testing Tools such as HP ALM and Suites, developing/executing scripts for test automation (VBScript, JavaScript, Languages/Scripts for testing tools,) an asset
- Knowledge/experience writing and reviewing programs (VB, PL/SQL, Transact SQL, C#, Java) an asset
- Knowledge/experience in SOA testing an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication/negotiation skills
- Demonstrated experience and passion in applying CURRENT TESTING methodologies
- Enthusiastic in finding defects and ideas to improve quality
- Ability to create clear and concise testing documents/defects
- Knowledge of Financial Products (Stocks, Bonds, Private Investments, Derivatives) and process for managing the products an asset
- Knowledge of industry standard SDLC and Testing Methodologies
SKILLS (NICE TO HAVE):
- Knowledge of Financial Modeling an asset
- Strong interests and background in quantitative areas an asset
