QA/QC Manager

Engineering & Construction client in the in NJ is looking for a QA/QC Manager with 15-30 years of experience supporting power generation, substation & T&D EPC or Construction Management projects. You will have overall responsibility for managing and executing the Quality Program to ensure that installations comply with the applicable plans, codes, standards, specifications, and construction practices. This is a Contract opportunity that could turn into a direct hire job for the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Confirm that the project Quality Control Inspectors are providing the proper documentation and developing Turn-Over Packages
- Track and manage the preparation and process through resolution of Non-Conformance
- Organize Quality Assurance reports for submission to the Owner on a weekly and monthly basis
- Responsible for independent testing services scheduling and management, with scheduling support from the Construction, Transmission Line and Substation Managers
- Overall quality control management of all construction disciplines
- Budget development, supervision, administration, evaluation and retention of Quality Assurance staff
- Responsible for reviewing and approving all subcontracted related quality assurance

REQUIREMENTS

- 15-30 years of QA-QC experience supporting power plant, substation & transmission line EPC or Construction Management projects
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution is needed
- Technical knowledge of all phases of quality control engineering relating to multi-discipline construction activities (construction work processes, work process tools & training)
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a PLUS
- Must have experience with developing quality controls procedures and implementing the procedures
- Demonstrated supervisory skills and personnel management skills to review work assignments and performance to ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff
