DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a hands-on performance test analyst. Provides accurate measurements in a timely manner. The accuracy and relevancy of this QA Performance Analyst's tests helps drive management, developers and production towards measurement-driven thinking.

- Project management skills to work through company blockages to getting the required test data (which may be sourced offshore).
- Ability to work as a team member, with vendors and with other devs, PMs and managers
- Works under the direction and with a QA Manager/Performance Developer or feature developer.
- Writes technical performance test plans
- Develops data driven test automation scripts and executes performance and load testing of client products
- Uses LoadRunner to design and execute load and performance tests against Web applications, web services and SQL Server.
- Designs and executes daily load Build Verification Tests (BVT) as well as larger, system level tests, Functional level support will be provided as required.
- Analyzes the data gathered from performance tests with an eye towards application performance, availability and capacity with the goals of ensuring the optimal user experience and reducing hardware costs.
- Reports findings according to a defined process, such as sending an email.
- Has both Batch performance and Scripting experience

SKILLS:

- Strong Scripting knowledge of HP LoadRunner, VuGen (Virtual User Generator), Performance Center and LoadRunner Controller
- Extensive experience in Web applications using WEB HTML/HTTP, Web Services, JAVA over HTTP and TruClient protocol
- Knowledge of C language and JavaScripting for editing/enhancing VuGen scripts in LoadRunner
- Good Knowledge of network and application components tune-up and optimization
- Knowledge of J2EE Application Components and Oracle DB
- Experience in identifying bottlenecks and doing root cause analysis
- Ability to use and analyze OEM, AWR, Java profiling tools and create reports application performance on Windows machines or a Linux machine.
- Awareness of industry of performance standards and to compare the application under test to these standards and thereby determine if something is a bug.
- Knowledge of performance bottlenecks and end-to-end performance web performance measures (server response time, throughput, network latency, etc.)
- Ability to code basic load test scripts
- Well knowledge in creates SQL QUERIES AND TROUBLESHOOT THE APPLICATION SQL QUERIES.
- Programming Experience in the language the application is coded in Java,J2EE
- Performance DATA CREATION AND FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS
- Has an understanding of THE LOAD TEST ENVIRONMENT, AND THE APPLICATION ARCHITECTURE IN THE CLUSTERED ENVIRONMENT
- Knowledge in Oracle- RAC environment
- Past experience in performance testing using LoadRunner
- An understanding of web protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, and DNS
- Ability to troubleshoot issues in the load and performance test environment
- It is the tester's role to produce a chart or a graph that is distributed to the team DAILY. Reports on the response time of the features currently being tested.
