QA Manager and Qualified Person - Bedfordshire - 2 Month Contract

The Quality Manager (QA) is responsible for the maintenance and operating of the quality control system at the company and heading the Quality Control Department at the manufacturing site. The position also sits on the Executive Group responsible for shaping the future direction of the business.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Approving specifications, sampling regulations, investigation methods and other procedures concerning quality control and other documents.
- Determining, setting up as well as approving quality control procedures and other documents in conformity with the regulations of the SOL QSE/MS documents.
- Identifying critical quality control apparatus and establishing the maintenance and calibration needs.
- Carrying out quality audits at suppliers; or following up on actions from corporate DIQS-SOL audits.
- Supervising and participating in the continuous improvement in the quality system.
- Working as contact person between the MHRA (Medicines Healthcare Regulatory Authority) and the company on all quality related matters for medical gases.
- Supervising the overall process and final sign off on all quality complaints and non-conformities
- Setting up of training schedules for all production personnel

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- The role as well as requires the holder to be a Qualified Person (QP) Status: to fulfil the requirements of Directives 2001/83/EC, 2001/82/EC or 2001/20/EC.
- The role is responsible for managing all quality system to ISO 9001, including working with the NHS customer to resolve serious incidents and customer complaints.
- Acting as a Responsible Person in terms of the requirements for GDP of up to 9 warehouses located around the South of England
- The holder is also expected to manage ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems, ISO18001 Health and Safety Management Systems and ISO14001 systems Environmental Management.
- The ideal candidate will be a be a Qualified Person (QP)

Status: to fulfil the requirements of Directives 2001/83/EC, 2001/82/EC or 2001/20/EC and be required to travel between the Bedford, Crawley and Sterling site as and when required.
