QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities & Duties: * 30% automated testing, 70% manual testing * Defines the test strategy in collaboration with business analysts and development teams * Designs and plans testing conditions, test scripts and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control in liaison with the Technology Environment Analyst * Closely liaises with the business users / business analysts and facilitate user acceptance testing * Provides reporting on test progress, test outcomes, success rates, issues and risks Requirements: * 5+ years experience in quality assurance * 2+ years experience within the trading or financial industry * At least 2+ years experience automation * Mid level SQL experience * Scripting experience preferential: (python, perl) * Knowledge of test environments, tools and infrastructure * Good working knowledge of Client/Server applications and testing issues * Testing theory, methods, techniques and tools This is an excellent opportunity to join a top tier financial firm inChicago.
