QA Engineer

DAILY RATE - 6 MONTHS+ (DUBLIN, IRELAND)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

- Represent QA and testing in all aspects of the Agile Scrum development process including Sprint Planning and daily Scrum meetings
- Creation and execution of test plans and test cases (manual and automated) for user storiesLog defects and work closely with developers to investigate, troubleshoot and verify defect fixes
- Execution of risk based and exploratory testing
- Escalate quality issues quickly and effectively
- Take initiative to recommend and implement quality process improvements
- Assist the Customer Care group in resolving third line support issues
- Involved in organizing and executing all stages of testing leading up to a successful release the product

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Computer Science or Computer Engineering Degree (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years work experience in Software Quality Assurance including White Box and Black Box testing
- A good understanding of Agile development process(Scrum methodology)
- Experience developing and executing test cases
- Extremely detail oriented and organized, able to provide clear and accurate status updates
- Familiarity with current market trends on Tablet, eReaders, iPhone/iPad a plus
- Demonstrated superior troubleshooting skills
- Must be energetic and enthusiastic, with a passion for Software Quality
- Highly technical and able to communicate well with developers and other team members
- Self directed individual able manage workload within conflicting priorities
- Wants to be involved with complex web based projects and mobile technologies
- Experienced and capability with risk based and exploratory testing

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Strong knowledge of SQL and familiarity with SQL Server (Ideally 2008) Database is required
- Experience developing and/or testing custom applications built on IIS
- Experience working with web technologies such as .net, Spring framework, Javascript
- Experience working with web testing tools such as fiddler, cucumber, gherkin
- Specflow, Webdriver experience (Gherken, Cucumber)
- Selenium 2 experience
- C#, Rally, Testrail, Jmeter, Visual Studio experience would be very nice to have
- Experience with cross browser and cross platform testing (IE, FF, Safari, Windows, Mac)

PREFERRED SKILLS

- Experience with eCommerce Web Testing including payment authorization technologies
- Experience with Facebook application development a plus
- Experience working with mobile devices a plus
