SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO 12 MONTH CONTRACT

QA efforts will range from Call Center Support, Workstation QA, Risk platform, as well as IT tools. Work would be performed on specific projects while simultaneously supporting BAU effort. Initial projects will focus around Apple Products using Mavericks Operating System. The candidate will need to have previous experience using Macs and illustrate prior experience around testing interoperability within a PC centric network.

The role allows for a unique skill set of both tester and packaging expert. Suggesting timelines for OS and Software version updates, patches, alternative 3rd party solutions, and managing Mac user expectation within the network.

The ideal candidate would be in involved in the implementation of best practice techniques for test-driven development, value-based exploratory testing, risk identification, and production support. The resource would participate in early design discussions provide integrity to the App quality by identifying gaps, ensure critical analysis of documentation, and clarifying testing scenarios prior to development start.

Automation script writing skills leveraging IVR tools, QTP, and other open source tools will play a pivotal role in the need to produce iterative testing in a cost effective solution. This resource will be responsible for driving and maintaining automation suites, and their interdependencies.

The position would be responsible to operate within fast-paced initiatives, in order to retain quick time to market. With the agile-like project life cycle, the candidate would need to have a deep understanding to balance Agile QA process, and audit compliance of SDLC standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Application level knowledge, assisting in execution of test cases and Automation Scripts when needed
- Communication of Project Planning is complete with the business, development, and PMO regarding status, milestones, issue resolution and escalation.
- Consultative analysis and functional requirements are completed and document deliveries are met.
- Customize and run performance test scripts
- Develop test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for one or more test plans in a development cycle by analysing the Functional Specifications and Business Requirements. This could include component, Database Configuration tests, computer telephony integration, user interfaces and regression tests.
- Ensure correct realization of the client s requirements, performances, security, environmental and legal constraints.
- Execution of test cases and Automation Scripts where needed.
- Identify Automation scripts requiring maintenance
- Identify test cases that benefit from Automation, and reduce dependency on manual testing. Determining maintenance schedule for Automation scripts to ensure sustained functionality.
- Log, track and verify resolution of software defects
- Manage a dispersed global team of 5-10 testers to develop strategy and technical product solutions.
- Manage all communications related to QA Status on a daily basis during execution. Reporting potential risks during all any stages of development life cycle.
- Monitor development turnovers to confirm business requirements are successfully delivered.
- Partnering with our application development teams to clarify requirements and identify risks and incompatibilities with design to ensure certification of code with quality.
- Prioritizing against many competing interests, multitasking in an environment of constant change, and operating effectively in a Matrix-management environment, and providing optics where decision making has material impact on costs and risk.
- Provide global support and ongoing enhancements to platform.
- Report of the potential risks and any stage of development.
- Retain Audit compliance while supporting end users during their testing cycle.
- Review Conceptual Analysis and Functional Requirements for completeness and ensure document deliveries are met.
- Train onshore and the offshore team in writing test scripts and best practices. Contributing to team member cross training by effectively managing direct reports in integration projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of relevant IT leadership experience, preferably managing a globally dispersed team
- Extensive understanding in leading QA process (Agile and Waterfall)
- Must have a deep understanding of testing third party software that has been internally packaged and ideally have the ability to package software for deployment
- Ability to understand business needs and assist in translating into a test approach and plan
- Analytic-driven and insight-focused, with a proven history of measuring lead/pipeline funnels and business results from campaign initiation and lead conversion to closed revenue; advanced Excel and data presentation skills a must
- Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others developing strong internal and external relationships
- Demonstrated track record of achieving tangible results while managing cross-functional teams in a highly Matrix environment
- Experience managing expectations and delivery of product/technology services to a highly diverse, global workforce
- Exercises independent judgment, strong ability to work independently leveraging minimal direction from supervisor
- Experience and deep understanding of Test Automation concepts; QTP experience preferred
- Experience with coordinating with an offshore multi-regional model
- Hands-on execution and strategic planning; ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Intermediate SQL knowledge required
- Previous experience with estimation and Conceptual Analysis document discussions
- Proficient understanding of HP ALM (QualityCenter)
- Sound business judgment; strong requirements and business analysis skills; outstanding project and budget management, financial and analytical skills
