DESCRIPTION:
The Quality Analyst is responsible for the design of system changes and enhancements by ensuring that user specifications are well identified and described. Ensures the reliability of automated systems and the integrity of their databases through thorough testing and proper implementation of change and enhancements. Provides support for information requests or problems reported.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in the development and planning of system changes by executing tests to ensure that system changes comply to the specifications and that system functionality is not affected. Documents and reports problems found during testing. Reviews test plans/results and obtains sign-off.
- Develops documentation related to change specifications, business requirements, problem documentation, user guides, training documentation, Disaster Recovery Plan. Devises improvements to current procedures. Performs work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements. Provides various reports when required.
- Internal/External general customer support: Responds to and diagnoses problems through discussions with users (includes problem recognition, research and isolation). Documents resolution steps, logical procedures to solve customer requirements/problems.
- Prepares effort estimates for documentation, testing and implementation activities as related to their participation in a project. Analyzes business systems, develops solutions by participating in the analysis and alternate recommendation process for projects. Participates in project walk-thru.
-Performs implementation activities including: Preparation/scheduling, planning and early up testing, defining and preparing test environments, notifying parties of implementation schedule.
-Provides status, progress reports and keeps track of work time schedule for assigned projects. Tracks multiple work request and progress of each work time schedule for assigned projects.
SKILLS:
- 5+ years programming experience preferably in Mainframe/Web-based applications
- Java development background
- Big Data
- College or Bachelor's Diploma
- Good Communications skills both verbal and written
- Hands-on knowledge of Mainframe utilities (TSO, JCL, SQL, Endevor)
- Proficient knowledge of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
- Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access
- Agile, Scrum
- Experience in automated test tools and knowledge in preparing automated test scripts are preferred (Quality Centre, QTP)
